THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Mallorca is a place that feels like home the moment you arrive—quiet, beautiful, and full of simple moments.

We hope you find yourself wandering through markets brimming with local goods, pausing to admire the intricate shadow play of Spanish architecture, and cherishing the details of every charming green window.

DO I NEED A PASSPORT OR VISA TO TRAVEL TO MALLORCA?

Yes, you will need a valid passport to enter Spain. Please ensure your passport does not expire within three months of your travel dates (six months for some other European countries), as this is a requirement for international travel to Spain.
Technically, it is not a visa, but there is a European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) launching in mid-2025. Citizens from the US will need to apply for the Spain ETIAS once it becomes operational to enter the country. If there are updates to this, we will share more information here.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND MALLORCA?

Getting around Mallorca is easy and part of the adventure. For those who love the freedom to explore, renting a car is a wonderful option—roads wind through beautiful landscapes, and you'll have the flexibility to visit hidden gems at your own pace.

If you prefer to leave the driving to someone else, taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available. For a more local experience, the public bus system is reliable and connects you to much of the island. Whatever you choose, you’ll find that traveling from one beautiful corner of Mallorca to another is always part of the charm.
  • Taxis: The phone number for Mallorca taxis is +34 971 134 700. Call the number and let them know your location.
  • Car Rental: If you plan to explore various parts of Mallorca, renting a car is recommended. Rentals are relatively inexpensive and offer flexibility for sightseeing.
  • Uber: Available and convenient on the island.
  • Bus: The public bus system is reliable for city travel.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK ACCOMODATIONS?

We recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible, ideally no later than March. Mallorca in August is a high season and a popular holiday destination, so hotels fill up quickly!

Check our list of hotels on the RSVP page.

HOW DO I GET TO MALLORCA?

The closest airport is Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). Direct flights are available from many European cities. From the airport, you can take a taxi, Uber, or rent a car to reach your accommodation.

WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

APRIL 2025. We will not send out another invitaton, if you could kindly set a personal reminder in your calendar.

SHUTTLE ARRANGEMENTS?

We have arranged shuttles for everyone on Saturday, the day of the wedding ceremony. The pickup location will be in Palma, so we recommend planning accordingly—staying in or just outside Palma would be easiest.

If you are renting a car, check with your accommodation regarding parking. Many places within Palma offer street parking, which is limited and a bit chaotic. If you rent a car and prefer not to use the shuttle, you may drive to the wedding ceremony.

TO AND FROM THE WEDDING CEREMONY?

Pick up will be in Palma at 5pm, shuttles leaving at 5:15PM on Saturday, August 30 - exact location will be updated soon.
Drop off will be in the same location.
Five shuttles back to Palma will leave the wedding ceremony venue at midnight, 1AM, and 2AM.

WHAT KIND OF WEATHER SHOULD WE EXPECT?

Mallorca typically enjoys sunny, pleasant weather with a climate similar to Southern California. In August, you can expect hot temperatures between 70°F and 86°F (20°C and 30°C). This is why our ceremony begins later in the day.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE TO ALL EVENTS?

Check our RSVP home page that outlines the details for the Catamarans, Welcome Party, Wedding Ceremony, and Sunday Beach Day.

WILL THERE BE CHILDREN?

No kiddos this weekend—unless they’re under the age of 2. Text us if you have more questions!

WHAT LOCAL ATTRACTIONS OR RESTAURANTS TO YOU RECOMMEND?

Mallorca is known for its stunning beaches, charming villages, and a few historic sites. It also offers a variety of excellent food, from traditional tapas bars to fine dining.

We’ve created a Google Maps list of our favorite places to help you navigate around. Click here for the list. Click here for the list.

ANY TIPS FOR PACKING?

  • Bring comfortable walking shoes for exploring the island.
  • Don’t forget sunscreen and swimwear for the beach as it should be toasty!
  • Check the weather forecast.
  • See the ZOLA RSVP for the themed events.

IS THERE A  REGISTRY + HONEYMOON FUND?

We will be heading to Japan in October for a few weeks. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, here is a link to our Registry.

WHAT IS OUR  IDEAL DAY ON MALLORCA?

We love this question, thank you for asking.

Stop at a coffee shop, like Nano Coffee Lab or Fika Farina coffee and bakery.

We would take drive to another town, maybe Sóller or Santanyí, which has a perfect market with woven bags and ceramics on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If you make it over to Santanyí, the Cala D'Or and S'Almonia beaches are our favorite. If you are staying around Palma, we would go to Cala Xinxell or Cala Bella Dona.

We would also spend some time in Palma. Pg. del Born is a notable street, with lots of great shopping and cafes. The Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca is a gorgeous area, with a view overlooking the Palma harbor.

At some point we would grab an Ensaimada from 100+ year old bakery, Fornet de la Soca. And end the night with sushi Arume Sake Bar.
